Whitening/Bleaching
Gel Solution – This method works best for teeth that are lightly stained and have a yellowish color. We provide the patient with clear plastic trays that were custom made in our office from impressions of their teeth. The patient places a small amount of the whitening gel into the tray and inserts the tray into their mouth. Normally, the best time to wear the trays is at night. However, it is up to the patient and their particular schedule. If you select to wear the trays during the day, it is best to leave them in for a minimal of 3 hours in order to obtain the best results. This process is repeated until the patient receives the desired results. The Gel Solution comes in 3 strengths. Zoom! - This method is actually a laser whitening process that is done in the dental office. It’s safe, effective and fast. In just over an hour, your teeth can be up to 6 shades lighter. The procedure is simply and painless. A whitening gel is applied to the teeth, which is activated by a specifically designed light. This process works best for teeth that have a grayish cast and/or are deeply stained. Visit the Zoom! website for more information. Bonding Is a composite resin, which we match to the color of your teeth that is used to repair fissures or chipped teeth. It is also used to fill cavities.
Sealant
Sealants are used to help prevent the formation of tooth decay. It is a plastic resin that is bonded into the grooves of the chewing surface of a tooth.
Root Canal A Root Canal is a procedure that allows a tooth, which is causing a patient pain or is no longer viable due to nerve damage to remain in the mouth. It is considered a superior alternative to the removal of a seriously compromised tooth
Bridges
Bridges play a vital part in protecting not only the balance of your bite and chewing motion, but the integrity of your facial features as well. A person who leaves missing teeth unattended may permanently alter the contour and shape of his or her face. Bridges easily restore not only the balance of the mouth, but typically look and feel as natural as your own teeth.
Implant
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root (titanium or ceramic) that is placed into the jawbone to hold a replacement crown or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. While high-tech in nature, dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework, since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support. Long-term studies continue to show improving success rates for implants.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain which are bonded onto the front side of teeth. This is an excellent solution for teeth that are chipped, stained or misaligned.
Perio Treatment
This is a non-surgical treatment for the early and moderate stages of periodontal disease. This treatment involves removing the plaque and tartar that has formed under the gum, in the area known as the pocket. A local anesthesia is typically used to assure comfort during the procedure. The area is then treated with medication.
Periodontal disease is a chronic problem. The goal of the non-surgical treatment is to bring the gums back to good health by shrinking or eliminating the pockets around the teeth that are the site of infection, without having to have gum surgery.
