Sandra Derringer, DMD

I enjoy taking care of people, interacting with them and helping with their dental needs. I realize some people have concerns or fears of going to the dentist and I am respectful, compassionate, and even entertaining to help my patients have a pleasant dental experience. I treat all my patients as I would want to be treated or as I would treat my own daughters.

I feel blessed to work with so many wonderful patients. We share our stories and lives with each other, celebrating fun events and creating meaningful relationships. I love educating them about the importance of maintaining their oral health or making improvements when necessary, and then celebrating when optimal health is achieved.

Education

I absolutely love practicing dentistry and have been working in a dental office since I was 15 years old! I was employed as a dental assistant, then attended Palm Beach Community College graduating in 1988 as a licensed dental hygienist.   Gaining more and more respect for the profession and wanting to give more to my patients, I returned to school, Palm Beach Atlantic College, in 1990 to complete my prerequisites for dental school.  I, then, continued my education at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, graduating in 1997 with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine.

I really enjoy attending as much continuing education as I can and love learning about new advances in dentistry, new materials, and new techniques. I take great pride in keeping up with the latest technological advancements in dentistry in order to give my patients the benefit of better, more effective treatment. I have taken courses through the Pankey Institute, the Pete Dawson Academy, Frank Spears Seattle Institute for Continuing Education, and Invisalign®.

Our Team

Our team strives for our patients to feel comfortable and secure in their decision of choosing our dental practice to meet their personal dental needs. The members of our staff are well educated in the field of dentistry and have years of experience making our patients smile. We all understand what it's like to be a patient and our goal is to treat our patients as we each would expect to be treated. Our team is passionate about dentistry and strives to provide utmost care and compassion to our patients.

In the Community

I am very involved in supporting our community.  We pride ourselves by giving back to our veterans during our annual Veterans’ Day celebration, treating all scheduled veterans' dental care at no charge to them. We support our local elementary, middle and high schools and have been involved in Relay for Life, New Perceptions, Home for the Troops, and many other local charities.

Outside the Office

My husband, Dr. Greg McGlone, and I have been married since 1987 and were junior high school sweethearts!  We have two amazing daughters, Emily and Erica; two horses, Harley and Maggie; two dogs, Sara and Roxy; and three cats, Meeko, Hootie, and Rudy. Most of my free time is spent running our girls to horseback riding lessons, shows, and activities. I also enjoy staying active by jogging and swimming.
